OMI
Lacombe Convocation 2026: From Memory to the Future of Mission

Beginning on September
27, 2026, OMI Lacombe Canada gathered Oblates and collaborators for the 2026
Convocation – “200 Years of Grace: A Future We Shape in Hope” in Alberta. The
first day was a time of encounter, reunion, and beginning the journey together
 in a spirit of communion and hope. <img src="https://images.donghiensi.com/images/English/09f351a9-542c-41fd-99ed-407788167f3f.jpg" width="100%" style="max-width: 100%; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;">

On September 28,
participants returned to the roots of Oblate history in St. Albert through the Mission
Hill Experience, exploring the history of the missionary endeavor, praying, and
reflecting on the charism that has been lived out across generations. <img src="https://images.donghiensi.com/images/English/ac5ae76b-3f81-47d2-b4e8-58a3084706f8.jpg" width="100%" style="max-width: 100%; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;">

 On September 29, the
program turned toward the future of mission. Superior General Father Luis
Ignacio Rois Alonso, OMI, invited the Oblates to return to the heart of their
charism, strengthen community life, and live the mission with the poor, while
 discerning together new pastoral directions for OMI Lacombe Canada. <img src="https://images.donghiensi.com/images/English/2ab4994d-f93a-467b-b34a-a4fd77c40528.jpg" width="100%" style="max-width: 100%; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"> <iframe width="1033" height="581" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hwGrkS65pqo" title="Superior General Convocation 2026" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>Source:&nbsp;<a href="https://omilacombe.ca/">OMI Lacombe</a>
